(please ignore the fat Hawaiian pictured behind me) Frankly, I don't think that I look to bad in this picture, for being kind of chubby right now. After this photo was taken I let out a deep exhale and the gut came flappin out though.

Elizabeth sends Liliana and Marina some cute outfits

Here is Liliana in one of the little smocked dresses that Elizabeth sent us -out of the blue. It was cool this morning so I added some leggings and a long sleeved shirt. She did have on matching purple shoes earlier today and I got a bunch of complements on how cute she looked. The pictures do not do this outfit justice. Thank you Elizabeth. How thoughtful and sweet of you to think of us. Ill post photos of the rest of the outfits as we wear them.

Today

Today Marina went to the University of Colorado and was the subject of a study at the cognitive development center. She received her degree as an infant scientist. I am so proud!

Marina at the beach

Marina's full name is Marina Joy.
Marina means "of the sea". The name Joy is in honor of Marina great grandmother.

Liliana wins pumpkin contest

Liliana decorated this pumpkin and won first prize for her age group! The contest was at the Wild Oats grocery store that I used to work at about 10 years ago. It was a warm day so I put both girls in the bike trailer and we rode over and spent our afternoon watching Liliana make this masterpiece. They had snacks and drinks for the kids and goodie bags. Liliana won a gift basket filled with organic goodies. Cookies, Z-bars and popcorn and lots of other treats. She was so excited about her pumpkin and her goodies.

Pitete ballet

Liliana begins ballet class at the Boulder rec center. They don't allow parents to sit in during the class but I got a picture right before it began. Ill admit that I am guilty of peeking in the window and I got to see Liliana do her "solo" routine. Next week the girls are wearing their Halloween costumes to class. I cant wait. They are so cute.

Up and running

Hello friends and family. Welcome to the first posting of our family blog. I have just returned from a visit to Maryland with the girls and am still recovering from a time zone change and caring for two little ones that have not quite adjusted to Colorado's time change and climate. I am happy to have this up and running finally and hope to share posts of our family with you.

Fall leaves were just changing while we were in Maryland

We enjoyed daily walks to the beach. Since the weather was in the high 80's Liliana would lay in the sand and make "sand angels".
