SNOW!

Getting ready to go!
Pulling the girls around the yard together.

Sledding hill!

Lili says "more more"!

She went at just the right speed down the hill. Luckily we did not have any spills.

It snowed about 4 inches today. We started at home and pulled the kids around the yard in the sled, then we went over to the sledding hill just down the street from our house. We have a little plastic sled that Liliana fit in perfectly and slid at just the right speed down the hill. She LOVED it! It was so cute watching her go! It was great exercise walking up and down the hill after her. Marina was warm against my back and happy watching all of the kids, families and dogs running around the hill.

Lili's fairy

This is the mural painted on the wall in Liliana's room. It was done by
a good friend of mine as a shower gift when I was pregnant with Liliana. There is also some stargazer lilies painted on the opposite wall that go with this. Liliana's room is my favourite room in the house. Its is so pretty.

Mom's night out

Even Moms need a break once in a while. After taking care of Marina while she has the stomach flu, I decided that I needed a girls night out. Miwa came over and provided the leather skirt. The rest of my outfit was dug out of the deep abyss of my closet. I think the boots had a layer of dust on them, they haven't seen the light of day in years!! If I look a little uncomfortable in this photo is is because I am, I am not used to wearing figure fitting clothes. Anyway, the evening turned out to be a blast. Miwa and I celebrated my upcoming birthday with drinks and dancing. The night would have been a 10 if not for Liliana coming down with the stomach flu that night! So I came home to have my disco outfit vomited on. Ahhh the joys of motherhood. I would not trade it for the world.

BVCC Thanksgiving dinner

This is our churches annual Thanksgiving dinner, about 300 people show up and bring a bunch of food and we all eat together. I love it. The food is so good and we get to see all of your friends. We love our church. Marina wore the dress that Elizabeth gave her, its a little big, but still fits. Everyone commented on how cute she was and wanted to hold her.

Another cute outfit from Elizabeth!

Little stinker!!

Marina is ready for BVCC's Thanksgiving dinner. Elizabeth gave her this outfit. It is adorable!

More Halloween photos

We went to the South Boulder Rec center for their Halloween party. They had all kinds of craft tables and a jumpy castle, a maze, and games for the kids. Liliana was a witch.

Marina was a kitty cat.

What I did yesterday

Route Elevation Graph of my bike ride yesterday
Total elevation gain/loss: 779.0 feet
I don't mean to boast here. (But I will) Yesterday I rode my bike from my house up to NCAR. This is a graph of the elevation that I climbed. I used to ride this on a daily basis. But I haven't ridden it in a long time, (years) I considered turning back several times, and I went about 4 miles per hour on the climb. But when I got to the top I felt like a million bucks! I let out a primal yell! On the way back down the hill I maxed out at 30 MPH. Not that impressive to some people that I know, but I still feel good about it.
I then went to a party at my friends house. A big pre Thanksgiving pot luck. Did I eat a lot? You bet! Tim watched the kids, so I got to have a night out on my own. I ate my fill and whiled away the rest of the evening hula hooping with my girl friends to some good music. How fun is hula hooping?? FUN! http://www.hoopnotica.com/ Check it out! (I guess that I can add pink fuzzy leg warmers to my Christmas list too!) Make your own hoop for cheep http://www.jasonunbound.com/hoops.html One thing that I noticed is that all of the girls who were good at hooping had slender waists. So I think that I might give this a try. I managed to keep the hoop up around my waist, but I couldn't move it to my upper body. But I plan on learning and getting a trim tummy in the process.
Also, speaking of good music, Radio Head has a new album coming out soon called Rainbow. You can only get it on their website.

Bathtime

Marina was in a very good mood this evening. She loves her baths.

Today at home

I am still trying to get Marina to take a bottle.. but she just likes playing with it.

Relaxing at home today.....

Liliana has been sick with a low grade fever. She whimpers that her mouth hurts which I can only imagine means a sore throat. But despite this she seems to be all right. Marina has been her usual cheerful self.

I had a bit of a set back when I dropped my camera. It chipped the battery door and it wont stay shut. It pops open. I took it in to Mikes camera only to find it not worth the cost to fix it. I can tape it shut but it is not so practical with the amount that I take my picture disk out. I am really bummed about it and haven't posted in a few days because of this, and recovering from a big Halloween weekend. I just bought this camera last summer. I am asking for a new camera for my birthday, so if your reading this, and enjoying my blog, why not help me out? It will mean better photos!
While I am at it......
I am also wanting something to make my computer work a little better, and faster. Its kind of on the sloooooooow side. And for my lap top to be working so that I don't need to upload pictures at 10:30 at night, like I am doing right now. Oh, yes, and some fuzzy pink legwarmers are at the top of my wish list...
