Dancing princess

Lili does a princess dance. The dress is a little big. She doesn't like the princess dress nearly as much as she likes her unicorn costume.

35th Street Block party

Elora had some fun haircolor going as she hooped with us
Mimi loved pumping the keg
Lili rode her trike everywhere
Mimi tried hooping

We had a block party for our street. It was so much fun. The street was closed to traffic and we had food and drinks, games, kids on bikes, volleyball and hula hooping. It was really a fun time for everyone.

Uncle Mike comes to visit

My dear friend Mike visited us on his way home to LA after visiting family in Nebraska. It was a wonderful visit. Mike is a school teacher and works with small children. He, Liliana and Mimi had a blast playing together. Mike and I have been friends for over 10 years.
We love you Uncle Mike!

Mimi on her horse

Mimi loves bouncing on this horse! She is also quite the artist. Unfortunately, most of her drawing doesn't make it to the paper.

The Big Wheel Rally

Here I am on my Big Wheel. This event was a fundraiser for the Intensive care until at St Josephs Children's hospital. The event raised over a thousand dollars. Like my costume? 100 people in costumes rode on their big wheels. It was really a fun evening.

Filo found!

We found Filo in a toy about 3 days ago. Phew!

Good bye Filo

When I was expecting with Liliana, I found these really nice stuffed animals at the sample sale at the Denver Merchandise Mart. They were all so cute. I had to buy one for my baby. This was my special gift for her. Filo has been with Lili from that day on. She carries her everywhere and plays with her all of the time. That is, up until a couple of days ago, when I made the sad discovery that Filo was not where I thought she was, in the bag that we took to the park. I took this picture of Filo knowing that this day might someday come. Liliana has done really well with this loss, only asking for her kitty a couple of times. We made a special outing to buy a new kitty.

The sad thing is that I looked everywhere and the company that makes this kitty is not longer in business and after and exhaustive search of the Internet, I could not find another like Filo. She was much loved and will be missed.

It was a hot hot day and the fire truck cooled all of us off with water
It cooled down the whole street
My friend Stacy invited us to her annual July 4th picnic. We had a great time. After we headed over to the park and watched the fireworks.

4th of July childrens parade

Liliana volunteered to pick the winners name out of the basket. The winner received a new bicycle. Sadly, we did not win.

Mimi's dress was white for about 5 minuets. It did not take long for her to get ice cream and watermelon all over it.
Lili enjoyed the party
The parade

The Parenting Place put on a July 4th children's parade. I rode my bike to it, pulling the kids in the Burley trailer. I walked the girls in the trailer in the parade. They gave out free watermelon and ice cream and malteds. It was really fun.
