Another snowy Colorado day

Yesterday it was 70 degrees-today it snowed. But by late afternoon all of the snow was melted. Typical Colorado spring.

Easter Sunday

Eggs

Gimme that!
Mimi works on some eggs
mmmmmmmmmmm....Peeps...

Easter Sunday

Sunny yellow girl
Hanging all over Daddy
Breakfast
Peeps...note the Easter basket contents all over the floor. I hid the eggs all over the living room, then I left out baskets with grass and goodies. Liliana saw the eggs scattered here and there and as fast as she could dumped all of the contents of the basket, without even a second glance at it, and began frantically picking up eggs.
Marina is the fastest peep eater I have even seen
Liliana finally notices the goodies in her basket
Still collecting eggs
The Easter bunny brought Lili an Aqua Doodle
Mimi-scouting for more Peeps
Ahhh found them..this shot is blurry because she was moving fast, peeps in hand..

Lili and Mimi meet the Easter bunny

Mimi was screaming so loudly everyone around us waiting in line gasped. It was unbelievably loud, Mimi is very good at making her feelings known. I only left her for a second on the Bunny's lap, long enough to take this picture.
Lili, on the other hand, would have spent all day there. She loved the Easter Bunny. Mimi was excited about the potential of meeting the bunny and was signing "bunny" while we waited in line

making Easter eggs

Our eggs turned out so pretty

The girls in their fancy dresses

Mimi is signing "more" here. I am not sure what it was that she wanted more of..but she was signing it.
Note the adorable bow on Mimi's head...
Liliana signs it as well...
Today is Palm Sunday and our church was doing the musical "Godspell" anyone who knows me well knows that I LOVE musicals. So I was looking forward to it. I don't have many occasions generally to put the girls in fancy dresses, so every chance I get to dress them up I go for it! Liliana has the finest hair and I endlessly try to find something to do with it to make it look nice. When I brush it it becomes kind of flat. I don't want to cut it, but I might have to because it just looks like a frizz puff ball. I tried tying it in this scarf, but of course she pulled it out right away.

Ice cream wipe out

mmmm ice cream!
oops..
Wow! What a recovery!
Man, I hate it when this happens....

Liliana's preschool welcomes spring with a festival

The spring festival at Blossom preschool

The children and parents start off with a wonderful puppet show about a family that is is suffering from the darkness. The sister and her brother travel to the sun serpent and ask him to restore the light and allow things so grow.
All of the children have made their own serpents to shake at the covered gardens to wake up the seed babies and bring spring

And the Flowers are revealed!

Leah guides a big stuffed serpent and as she moves over the cloth, it is pulled back...
FLOWERS!
some real flowers too!
I love this picture. Ann exuberantly announces that spring has officially begun at Blossom preschool.
REAL flowers!
Liliana and her serpent.
After the flowers were revealed, we sang a song about spring. Then we
feasted on a wonderful Mexican lunch with tamales, spicy beans and salad, spicy rice and sweet tea

Blossom finishes off the day with Mexican dancers

Yummy lunch!
A presentation of all of the different regions of Mexico and each one with a different dance and costume.

Marina wants to be a Mexican dancer! I could not believe all of the different dances these people knew. And on top of it, loads of costume changes!
